How it works.
From the idea on your phone to the printed paper in your hand. Here is every step, and what happens behind it.

Pick what you need
Flyer, menu, business card, poster, invitation or postcard. Choose the size; if you are unsure, A5 is a good flyer size for most things.
Make it on your phone
Start from your website, your menu text or a file you already have. Change the headline, the photo, the colours and the text with a tap. You see exactly what will be printed.
The file is checked
Before anything is printed, the print check looks at your file the way a print shop would, and explains in plain words what it finds.
Order
Choose the paper and how many you need, and send the order. You get an offer by email, and you say yes before anything is printed.
It is printed for you
Your print is produced and on its way to you.
What the check looks at.
Four things that often go wrong in print, and what they mean.
- Bleed
- Printers cut the paper after printing, and the cut is never perfect to the millimetre. So a colour or photo that should reach the edge has to go 3 mm beyond it. That extra edge is called bleed. If it is missing, the check adds it for you.
- Safe zone
- Text closer than 3 mm to the edge can be cut off. The check shows where that is, so your phone number stays whole.
- Photo sharpness
- A photo that looks sharp on a screen can look soft on paper when it is printed large. The check works out how sharp each photo will be at its printed size.
- Print colours
- Screens mix colours from light (RGB); printers mix them from ink (CMYK). Some bright screen colours come out a little duller on paper. The check can show you a preview in print colours.
Questions
Do I need design skills?
No. You start from your own website, your menu text or a file you have, and change things with a tap. The layouts are made to work in print.
Do I need an account?
No password. To order, you enter your name and email. If you want to see your orders later, you sign in with a code sent to your email.
What does it cost?
Before anything is printed, you get an offer by email for the product, paper and quantity you chose. Nothing is printed until you say yes.
Is it as good as a designer?
For everyday promotion, it is good and quick. It does not replace a full brand identity or detailed design work. For that, our designers at Design Stopp work with you in person.
